DateMe is built around one promise: your photos never leave your iPhone.
Your photos, and the face details the app reads from them, are analyzed entirely on your iPhone and are never uploaded anywhere. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no advertising, and no cross-app tracking. DateMe shares limited anonymous app-usage and reliability events with PostHog by default; you can turn this off anytime in Your details → Help improve DateMe. If you subscribe, purchase information is processed by Apple and RevenueCat. After you explicitly choose Build best profile, text-only scores and coaching notes may also be processed by Apple's Private Cloud Compute; photos and raw face details are never included.
To understand which features are useful and whether analysis succeeds quickly and reliably, DateMe uses PostHog for limited product analytics. Analytics are enabled by default and use a random app-install identifier. We do not attach your name, email, Apple ID, advertising identifier, or an account ID, and PostHog is configured not to capture IP addresses for DateMe analytics.
DateMe shares only events such as:
DateMe never sends PostHog your photos, photo identifiers, scores, face details, dating-app or relationship preferences, quiz answers, voice notes, bio text, coaching text, filenames, URLs, raw errors, product or transaction identifiers, prices, or payment details. Automatic screen capture, session replay, autocapture, surveys, feature flags, logs, and crash capture are disabled.
You can stop future analytics immediately in Your details → Help improve DateMe. Turning this off does not affect any feature. PostHog processes the anonymous events described above only to help us improve DateMe; its privacy information is at posthog.com/privacy. For questions about retention or deletion of DateMe analytics, contact us at the email below. Because DateMe has no account or contact identifier, we may be unable to associate anonymous historical events with you.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store — we never see your payment details. To know which features you've unlocked, DateMe uses RevenueCat, a subscription-management service, which receives your purchase history tied to a random, anonymous identifier (not your name, email, or Apple ID). This is used only to activate your subscription and to show us aggregate sales analytics. It is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking or advertising. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy. Your photos and face data are never shared with RevenueCat or anyone else. To request deletion of purchase records, email us at the address below.
DateMe does not include advertising SDKs and does not use collected data to track you across other companies' apps or websites. The limited third-party processing is Apple (payments and optional Private Cloud Compute), RevenueCat (purchase history), and PostHog (the anonymous usage analytics described above).
Photo scoring and raw face-detail analysis run on your device. DateMe does not send photos or raw face details to our servers (we don't operate any) or to RevenueCat. When you explicitly choose Build best profile, the app tells you before continuing that text-only photo scores and coaching notes may be processed by Apple's Private Cloud Compute to build your recommended order and bios. Your photos are not included. If Private Cloud Compute is unavailable, DateMe may use Apple's on-device model instead.
DateMe is intended for users aged 16 and older and is not directed at children.
